that is what’s always bothered me about the idea of the ME movie being Shepard-focused: no matter what they do, they are going to alienate MOST of the fandom. Because everyone chose something different. The people who played a male shepard romancing Liara are outweighed by the people who played the game any other way. 

There is an entire, rich galaxy of story possibilities, and they decide the best thing to do is make what is probably going to be a stale as shit rehash of the game with stale as shit scifi film tropes that have been done a million times before. 

Ashley or Liara romance…Wrex dying…Council dies.

hahah, I am rather indifferent about this. I had no expectations. Plus I believe the hype about choice in ME is just a load of media bullshit. The choices weren’t that big a deal. They helped with headcanons..but real canon..not much.

However, default male shepard is really boring and stereotypical, and the only thing I am worried about is how they are going to make an interesting, real character out of a shell. He really isn’t that inspiring. Hopefully Garrus, Liara, Wrex, Tali, Kaidan and Ash are all there to provide decent character development. 

Thing about Mass Effect 1 is that the story was really, really good. Saren was great. It introduced the world well. I wouldn’t want to see any of the other stories on the big screen…Sure it won’t be as involved, but if Mass Effect 1 had be a super linear game, it still would have been great. and the movie has potential to be good as well, so why don’t we just wait to actually see it before we judge?
