30 day Incubus challenge
Day 2: When you became an Incubus fan.
This is kind of embarrassing. For a hundred years now, I’ve been a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and other bands that are considered “similar” to Incubus. But for some reason beyond my comprehension, Incubus had not been on my radar until quite recently, and it happened completely by accident. I was surfing YouTube, and Promises Promises popped up as a suggestion. I don’t know what made me click on it, but I did. It was June 29, 2011 (the same day I started this blog as a way of coping with my divorce), and I posted the video with a one-word comment, “Sexy.” By the end of September I’d seen Incubus in concert, and then it was all over. Ever since that day, it’s been nothing but constant misery, which is how I know I’m completely in love with Incubus.
Ahh incubus. Promises, Promises is one of my lesser favourites on If Not Now, When? but it’s still great. That whole album <3 ‘Old’ incubus fans were really hard on it but fuck they are fantastic and so diverse.
As far as INNW?, I would say that In The Company of Wolves, Adolescents, Tomorrows Food and Thieves are my favourites.
